Woestalleen Lodge’s Dutch name means roughly, ‘Remotely Alone’ and is suggestive of its unbeatable location perched on the top of the Waterberg in the west of the reserve. This site provides incredible vistas of the sunrise.

With magnificent views of its private waterhole, Woestalleen is ideal for four or more friends and family looking for their own piece of safari solitude together in Welgevonden Game Reserve.

Woestalleen consists of two adjacent chalets, each with two en-suite bedrooms and a deck. The main bedrooms of each chalet can be accessed from the main lodge, and all bedrooms can be easily converted from twins into king-size beds to give you flexible sleeping arrangements. The chalets are serviced daily.

The lodge allows you to choose between a fully catered option or to enjoy a semi-self-catering with a difference where the resident cook prepares the food and drinks you’ve brought along to your specific requirements.

Woestalleen is unfenced and lion, elephant and other wildlife frequent the waterhole to quench their thirst. Guests, particularly with young children, must be vigilant at all times.
